I kinda secretly love September, even though its arrival means that summer is over. I guess it's a bit of a hangover from school days when September ushered in a new year, new stationary (which basically was theeee most exciting thing ever), seeing your friends again after a long summer apart and tons of new exciting challenges and adventures. So, even though I'm kinda sad that August is ending, I'm also kinda excited, too. From the adidas EQT launch to Notting Hill Carnival and more, check out the highlights of August below...

I've always been an avid reader. So much so, that I used to get teased at school because my best friend was the librarian. Thing is, jokes on them because it's been proven that reading a book has all sorts of benefits, from increasing your emotional intelligence, improving your relationships and reducing symptoms of depression, to name but a few.

There's just something about a well written book that can transport you to alternate universes, and there's nothing quite as enjoyable as immersing yourself into the pages. Each month, I've been sharing some recommendations in my highlights, and I often share my recommendations on Instagram under the hashtag #moorizzlareads, too. I figured there are more than enough of my faves to warrant a dedicated post, so here are 8 of my favourite books that I've read in recent months...

This year marked 10 years since Britney Spears shaved her head. At the time, the world - myself included - collectively watched slack-jawed as one of our favourite childhood performers seemed to suffer a momentary breakdown. In the years since, the ‘I now understand Britney’s meltdown’ memes have been doing the rounds. But how far have our attitudes really come when it comes to celebrity mental health?
Whaaat do you mean it's already August!? You don't understand how hard I try not to start each and every highlights of the month with an exclamation of how fast time is going but this month I couldn't help myself because WHAT DO YOU MEAN it's already August! Between a(nother) trip to Ibiza, this time for Stormzy's #MerkyFestival, guesting on the BBC Asian Network and being featured in Harpers Bazaar Arabia, this month has positively flown by. Check out the best bits below...
This month, it made news when Hollywood seemed to have an abundance of trouble finding someone to play Jasmine in the new depiction of 'Aladdin', out next year. This potentially wouldn't jar quite so much, were it not for the fact that when it comes to finding someone to depict the veiled wife of a terrorist, there are apparently hundreds of candidates. And yet when it comes to finding someone to represent our *only* fictional character (because yes sadly Jasmine is basically that), Hollywood couldn't really find anyone.
I don't know about you guys but prior to my trip(s) to Ibiza, when I used to think of the Spanish isle all that passed through my mind was re-runs of 'Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents' (if you don't know what I'm talking about Google that ish nowww) and images of people passed out in pools of their own vomit. Now, while those stereotypes are certainly rooted in truth, there's a whole other seriously underrated side to the island which boasts some of the most incredible energy, beautiful views, gorgeous beaches and insanely delicious restaurants. So much so, actually, that I didn't even catch a glimpse of any of the former. Check out my pick of some of the best restaurants in Ibiza below...
