Egyptian born, London raised Alya Mooro has been writing her whole life. Having moved from Egypt to Switzerland, to the UK, back to Egypt then back to London again, writing has always proved an anchor, allowing Alya to explore both who she is, and her place in the world.
Graduating with Honours from the University of Westminster with a Masters in Journalism, and an Undergraduate degree from City University in Sociology and Psychology, Alya now writes about social commentary, fashion and lifestyle for some of the most respected publications in the world.

With over 13 thousand followers on her verified Instagram account and over 5,000 followers on her verified Twitter, Alya has an engaged following, and has become a representative voice for her generation. She has appeared on national radio stations including BBC Radio1, where she was invited to speak about the need for increased diversity in the media.
